IT IS NOT TOO LATE

Therapy for older adults

A belief I'd like to put down early: that after a certain age you may as well live with it. I've watched people in their seventies and eighties resolve things they'd carried since childhood. The nervous system stays capable of change for as long as you do.

What often brings people in later

Retirement, and the question of who you are without the role. Losing a partner or friends. A body that's changed. Caring for someone. And frequently something old that has been waiting for a quiet enough life to surface.

That last one takes people by surprise. When the noise of a busy life recedes, what was underneath it gets louder.

Why these methods suit this work

You don't have to narrate everything. EFT, Flash and Brainspotting work without requiring you to describe a difficult event in detail — which matters for a generation often raised not to discuss these things at all.

The pace is yours. Nothing here requires you to be dramatic or to perform vulnerability.

Practical notes

In person at the Albany office, or by video across California and Texas — video works well and removes the drive. If technology is a barrier, say so on the consult and we'll sort it.
